At the historic Dolhain Sanatorium in Belgium, Formenta has supplied and installed 6-metre lighting columns in a silver-grey finish. The design of the installation has been carefully adapted to harmonise with the existing architecture and surrounding environment, where functionality and aesthetics work together to create a safe and welcoming outdoor setting.
Dolhain Sanatorium, located near Verviers, was built in the early 20th century and stands as a clear example of healthcare architecture from that era, where light, air, and nature were considered essential elements in patient treatment. The building and its surroundings still reflect this philosophy, characterised by open spaces and a მშვიდ, green environment.
The new lighting columns enhance accessibility and safety during the darker hours of the day, while blending discreetly into the culturally significant setting. The result is a modern lighting solution that respects and highlights the unique character of the site.
